The Somerset Antient Mark Masons is not a Lodge but a demonstration team of international repute! The team has thirty or so members and is organised by W.Bro Mike Fazackerley. The team performs a ceremony that predates the formation of The Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons, the demonstrations are enacted in costume and have taken place all over the UK and Europe.

The purpose of this short web site is to show you what is involved in preparing for our demonstration and key requirements should you wish to invite us to your Lodge.

First and probably most important we charge nothing.

We cover our own expenses i.e., travel and where necessary hotel costs.

If you have a draw the profits would be greatly received for our own charities but is not a requirement to provide a demonstration.

Likewise, if you are able to afford to pay for our meal at the festive board that would be greatly appreciated but is not a requirement.

There are however the following conditions that have to be met.

1. All members attending the demonstration must be Mark Masons

2. There is no need to call off

3. A separate room must be provided for changing into costume (for perhaps 16 team members)

4. A minimum of 30 members (excluding the team) must be present. We will cancel at the last minute if this is not the case

We are best suited for Installed Masters Lodges or special occasions provided the above requirements are met.

We will however consider providing a demonstration for any Lodge that can raise the numbers.
